I have spent over 10 years studying and practicing Craniosacral Therapy (CST). I have also trained in Myofacial Release Technique, Orthobionomy, Jin Shin Juitsu, as well as many other modalities. I combine everything that I have learned to offer a session to meet your needs. CST is an elegant and powerful modality that works with the Central Nervous System, the very center of the body. It was created by osteopathic doctors and is focused on healthy bone alignment, mobility, and circulation. By gently releasing the tissues around the skull, spine, and pelvis, the entire body is able to fully relax and repair itself. This work is effective for healing from pain, injuries, and stress and to support health and well being.
CST is a hands-on technique that is gentle and safe for new born babies, as well as for mothers during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Aligning the bones of the pelvis promotes gentle safe birth and easy recovery. This integrative bodywork relieves pain and mental stress associated with all the physical, emotional, and mental changes of creating a new life.
Sessions begin with discussing your goals, current issues, and health history. We may start with some meditation to quiet our minds and arrive in the space together and then proceed with hands-on bodywork and movement. You can lay on the massage table with loose clothing or undress to your comfort level. Mindful movement can unwind joints and tissues, and increase body awareness.
For babies, CST is an amazing tool that can help with infant colic, breastfeeding issues, digestion, sleep, turning the head to just one side, fussiness, developmental issues, and so much more! The journey of entering the world is intense no matter how we do it and gentle touch can help welcome babies into the world, into their new bodies. CST can release tension, compression, or trauma from the birth experience so that Baby can enjoy being in their body and exploring this new life.
